Anna Sulimowicz, PhD, assistant professor (Pol. adiunkt) in the Department of Turkish Studies and Inner Asian Peoples at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsawin and assistant professor in the Research Centre for Language Documentation of the Institute of Linguistics and Translation Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She is the secretary of the Association of Polish Karaims (Związek Karaimów Polskich w RP). Editorial board member of the journals Almanach Karaimski and Awazymyz.

Her research interests are focused on the history of the Karaite communities in Lutsk, Halich, and the Crimea and she has published a number of works devoted to her fields of interest. In years 2012–2016 she participated in a research project entitled A Catalogue of Karaim Old Prints and Manuscripts. She teaches Turkish language and classical Turkish literature. She translated numerous novels of the Nobel Prize winner Orhan Pamuk into Polish.​
